Mayvin is seeking candidates for a Senior Contracts Manager responsible for contract management functions of the organization, including the preparation, negotiation, acceptance, and management of assigned government contracts. The successful candidate will manage all phases of contract administration from inception through completion including preparing, reviewing, and approving all contractual documents to ensure the protection of the company's contractual posture, satisfaction of contract specifications and requirements, identification of risk factors, and adherence to company policy, as well as appropriate laws and regulations. The candidate will implement a Contract Administration System working directly with the Executive Team. The position is located at the Corporate HQ in Alexandria, Virginia.

Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance

Responsibilities:

  • Performs "cradle to grave" contract management activities, including the support of the bid, capture, and contract negotiation processes; and ensures efficient performance and risk mitigation throughout the life of each contract, supporting amendments and interpretations as necessary
  • Negotiates and administers Prime Contracts, Contracts, Teaming Agreements, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Contractor Purchasing System (CPSR), ISO-related compliance documentation, and all auxiliary contractual documents such as representation and certifications, disclosures, and FAR clause acceptance
  • Implements and maintains an automated Contract Management System, including contract set-up, processing modifications, tracking clauses, project control functions such as project and task assignments, and financial award tracking
  • Conducts contract strategy meetings to identify issues and customer requirements and obtains management input on timelines, cost targets, and deliverables
  • Advises management of contractual rights and obligations and recommendations to mitigate contractual/program risks
  • Work directly with multiple customers (DoD, DHS, DoJ, prime contractors) on various contract types (FFP, CPFF/AF/IF, T&M, Labor Hour, IDIQ)
  • Participates in proposal planning, evaluates proposals for accuracy and compliance; recommends and implements negotiation strategies for teaming agreements and proposals; submits proposals to the government or prime contract teaming partners


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business management or a similar degree
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in government contracting
  • Experience working at corporate offices of Government Contracting firm(s)
  • Experience in federal acquisition process, government contracting principles, compliance, and regulations (e.g., FAR, GSA, DFARS, CAS, EAR, ITAR, and other agency supplements, and contract-specific flow-downs, etc.)
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships at the executive level in internal and external customer organizations
  • Ability to manage time and competing priorities, including handling several assignments concurrently


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM) certification, or ability to obtain
  • Experience in Government contracting, defense contracting, including special operations
  • Master's Degree in Procurement, Acquisition Management, Business Management, or similar experience
  • Familiarity with international laws and regulations for sites located outside the U.S.
