The Philadelphia Regional Institute for STEM Educators (PRISE) is looking to hire a Director of Fundraising and Partnerships for a one-year position with option to renew for a second year.

PRISE builds on thirteen years of partnership among multiple institutions of higher education in the greater Philadelphia region as well as regional STEM education stakeholders. PRISE believes that STEM education is a social justice endeavor. With equitable access to high-quality STEM instruction, all students in the Philadelphia region can become successful STEM learners. High-quality STEM instruction depends on a well-prepared STEM teacher workforce. PRISE is dedicated to the recruitment, retention and ongoing development of diverse and highly effective teachers.

PRISE aims to build lasting synergies among institutions of higher education and other STEM education stakeholders in the Philadelphia region that will strengthen all aspects of the STEM teacher pathway: engagement, recruitment, preparation, induction, and ongoing professional development and growth throughout a teacher's career in ways that no individual organization would be able to achieve alone.

Position Title: PRISE Director of Fundraising and Partnerships Open to: Internal and External Applicants Full-Time or Part-Time Status: Part-Time Staff Job Type: Hourly/Non-Exempt Position Summary or Faculty Qualifications

The Director of Fundraising and Partnerships, in collaboration with the Executive Team, is responsible for partnership development, fundraising, and creating an advisory board.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Fundraising

? Identify funding streams for PRISE that include foundations, businesses, industries, government, and private donations.

? Design and managing fundraising campaigns.

? Write applications/proposals.

? Liaise with university offices regarding fundraising efforts.

Partnerships

? Cultivate partnerships with both individuals and organizations to support the work of the organization.

? Formalize partnership agreements.

? Enhance organizational visibility in the region to include a website and social media presence.

Advisory Board

? Develop and convene the PRISE advisory board.

? Engage the board in fundraising efforts.

? Work with the advisory board to implement the strategic plan.

? Work with the advisory board to establish the long-term viability of PRISE.

Secondary Responsibilities:

Take part in Executive and Leadership Team meetings.

Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:

Must be willing to work some evenings and weekends.

Must be willing to travel in the Philadelphia area as well as to national conferences.

Minimum Requirements:

Terminal degree in Business, STEM, or Education.

Experience in nonprofit leadership and fundraising.

Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in K12 or higher education environments.

Experience in organizational development.

Experience with productivity (MS Office, Google, etc.), social media, and website tools.
