TITLE: Supplier Quality Engineer
LOCATION: Detroit, MI (Hybrid - 4 days in-office, 1 day remote)
PAY: Target pay for this role is between $30-35 per hour but may vary based on experience
ENGAGEMENT TYPE: Contract (12 months)
WHAT YOU LL BE DOING
- We're looking for a dedicated and proactive Supplier Quality Engineer to lead a group of automotive suppliers in delivering high-quality powertrain components. This role involves significant supplier management and quality assurance responsibilities within Aftermarket Supply Chain.
Overview of responsibilities
- Lead supplier performance improvement projects to enhance supplier capability in meeting customer requirements consistently.
- Conduct supplier audits to ensure product conformity and drive process standardization, waste elimination, and continuous improvement.
- Facilitate the advanced product quality planning of aftermarket part supply following international processes.
- Monitor and improve key supply chain KPIs, including quality complaints and capacity to support compliance.
WHO WE RE LOOKING FOR
- Must have knowledge of PPAP, an engineering background, and excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Preferably with project management experience, statistical process control, and problem-solving skills.
