Role Description

This is a part-time hybrid role for a Pet Sitter located in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill Area, with flexibility for some remote work. As a Pet Sitter, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care for pets in their own homes. Your day-to-day tasks may include feeding, walking, and playing with pets, administering medications (if necessary), and ensuring their overall well-being and happiness. Some remote client service tasks will be required for this position, all of which can be done in a remote setting.


Qualifications

  • The ability to work independently and complete tasks without being directed to do so
  • Passion for animals and a commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment
  • Ability and willingness to handle pets of various sizes, breeds, and temperaments
  • Reliable transportation to travel to clients' homes and a smartphone
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including regular weekends and holidays
  • Willingness to jump in when urgent needs arise
  • Must be resilient and capable of self-motivation and management


Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in the animal industry; veterinary, grooming, boarding facility/daycare, volunteer work, and other exotic animal fields (all animal-related activities will be considered)
  • Knowledge of standard pet care and procedures
  • Must complete a questionnaire to be considered for a pet sitter position
  • Active Pet CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to pursue)
  • Valid Drivers license
  • Personal vehicle for work
  • Willingness to travel to required locations for pet visits
  • Must have and be willing to use personal smartphone (client software app and scheduling)
  • 3 references
