As they continue to expand our operations, they are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their team.

Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, and financial tasks for our construction firm. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices, along with experience in the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments and receipts.
  • Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow to maintain financial stability.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes to support decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records, including vendor and subcontractor invoices, contracts, and purchase orders.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other departments to track project costs and ensure adherence to budgets.
  • Assist with year-end financial audits and tax filings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently.
