A prominent employer in the East Bay area is seeking a talented Payroll Administrator to join their team. This position offers the opportunity to work on payroll processing for multi-state locations and diverse business units.

Responsibilities:

  • Process weekly, biweekly, and monthly payrolls using a leading payroll platform
  • Accurately analyze and input payroll data
  • Handle personnel action forms with confidentiality
  • Collaborate with various departments to resolve payroll-related issues
  • Assist with quarterly and annual audits
  • Conduct payroll time sheet audits and resolve discrepancies
  • Manage manual checks, wage garnishments, and government reporting
  • Stay abreast of state and federal wage and hour laws
  • Reconcile payroll data and respond to inquiries promptly

Requirements:

  • Degree preferred or equivalent experience in payroll processing
  • Proficiency in leading payroll platforms (confidential)
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and filters
  • Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-departmentally
