Global Billion dollar company is looking for a Barrier Coatings Chemist for the Pulp and Paper industry. The position is located in Atlanta, GA and relocation assistance is provided.
Responsibilities:
The employee is primarily responsible for Research and Development creating and formulating new products for paper barrier coatings. Identify new and unique ways to protect paper from moisture, oil & grease, and oxygen. Daily working on the bench to create and modify formulations.
Work from formulation to plant scale up. Interact with internal and external customers.
Requirements
The employee must have at least a Bachelors degree in Chemistry or similar and minimum 2+ years paper barrier coatings experience
Proven experience independently creating formulations.
Experience identifying resistance to water, Oil & Greese, oxygen, etc.
Confident working in a lab
Strong organization skills are important to effectively manage the wide range of responsibilities.
The employee must be able to clearly and effectively communicate in person and in writing.
