**JH Kelly is hiring for a Plumbing Design Engineer in Vancouver, WA**

**What You Will Be Doing:** We are looking for a Plumbing Design Engineer who is responsible for engineering consultation, coordination, modeling, and design documentation in a design/build delivery. The position will be adaptable to a variety commercial markets, design delivery styles, and eager to take on new challenges.

* Significant experience utilizing Revit to deliver engineering design documentation

* Motivated, willing to effectively apply and manage tasks

This position works closely with VP of engineering, estimators, project managers, supply chain, vendors, and other operating groups on stand-alone and integrated projects.

Plumbing Design Engineers are accountable for the following:

* Provide engineering design direction from project conception to completion

* Complete code-required energy compliance and LEED documentation

* Conduct engineering calculations, specification, selection and layout of plumbing systems

* Manage time to meet project schedules and task deadlines

* Understanding of plumbing systems including

+ Domestic cold/hot water

+ Sanitary waste/vent

+ Storm water

+ Gas piping

+ Medical gas

* Design of plumbing systems utilizing the latest modeling software

* Effectively and professionally communicate with project team members, customers, and vendors

* Answer design and installation questions with Project Management, Construction and Service departments, Controls, and other teams

* Visit job sites

* Perform additional tasks or projects as assigned

* Provide coordination to and develop HVAC knowledge

**Education/Experience:**

* 5 plus years mechanical HVAC & plumbing design experience

* Healthcare experience is a plus

* A track record of performing design, calculations, equipment selection, and layout of plumbing systems. Mechanical system knowledge a plus

* Excellent understanding of Engineering fundamentals

* Expertise leveraging Revit, AutoCAD & Bluebeam Revu software

* Working knowledge of industry building codes, standards, and LEED

* Proficient in Microsoft Office

* BS in engineering preferred

* EIT is preferred

* CPE is preferred

* PE or LEED accreditation is a plus

**Physical Requirements**

* May regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds

* Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision and Distance vision

* While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to walk and sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl (for purposes of assisting with project job walks and site inspections)

* The employee is occasionally required to reach above shoulder height to access storage cabinets and shelves
