Position **Groups and Event Coordinator**

Location. Barcelona Experience. 2 Starting Date. Feb 2022 Salary. According to hospitality agreement Carry out in a qualified way all group and events reservations, the formal communication to our future guests and the programs coordination in order to guarantee the overall success of all services offered.

Available immediatly.

* Inquiries reception via mail, phone and visits.

* Quote all inquires received and send them through e-mail to the clients/agents.

* Introduction of all events in Opera.

* Conduce hotel Site inspections.

* Follow-up on groups and events proposals.

* Introduce in Opera the confirmed events and search for external suppliers if needed such as audiovisuals and others.

* Elaborate and send the contracts for banquets, weddings or other events.

* Assist the clients when doing a menu tasting for their future event and set up the necessary changes.

* Create and distribute the event function sheets to all departments.

* Attend the weekly events meetings together with operational departments.

* Supervise the banquets set-up, menu placing and client welcoming.

* Request for deposits and make sure they are properly posted in Opera.

* Arrange menu cards and seating plan.

* Be aware of all the services that need to be paid before and after the event.

* Revise Master account charges with Rooms, F&B and Finance once the event has finished and proceed to send the Final Invoice to the client.

* Check the weekly event revenue (confirmed, quoted and lost) in order to present it at the weekly business meeting.

* Follow-up on the events once they are finished in order to get feedback from the clients.

* Database maintenance.

* Diplomas in Hospitality and Tourism, Superior Technicians in Professional Training in Hospitality.

* Experience with PMS Opera.

* Knowledge of office automation at a user level.

* High level of English, Spanish and valuable other languages.

* Minimum experience of 2 years of experience.

* Experience in similar or superior category hotels.

* Problem solving and decision making skills.

* Service orientation and excellent organizational skills

* Positive attitude and excellent communication skills

* Ability to work in a team

* Able to work under pressure and remain calm in difficult situations.

* Time availability

* Dynamic person
