**Purpose:**

We are seeking a talented Department Manager who is an enthusiastic team player with strong leadership skills and a demonstrated work ethic in the fast-paced, ever changing Healthcare industry. The Department Manager will be responsible for clinical and administrative leadership within the department and the Wilmington Health organization.

**Essential Duties/Responsibilities:**

* Maintains accountability for financial management of all assigned clinical areas to include:

* Monthly analysis of financial statements

* Development of action plan to ensure operation within established budgetary parameters

* Maintains responsibility for planning and management for all areas to include:

+ Space planning

+ Budget planning

+ Staffing planning

+ Quality improvement oversight

+ Project planning

+ Maintains patient confidentiality

+ Staff management and planning

+ Manage workflow and and process improvements

* Uses computer system efficiently and accurately

* Provides patient/staff education

* Maintains effective communication and interacts with appropriately, effectively and professionally with all members of health care team

* Evaluates employee performance and coaches

* Participates in Interviewing, hiring, and terminations of staff

* Organizes and participates in monthly department meetings and staff meetings.

Required Experience

**Required**:

* Bachelors degree in a related field

* Minimum of two years department management experience (medical setting)

* Full COVID 19 vaccination is required as a condition of employment for all position with Wilmington Health. Documentation is required prior to orientation.
