The Calhoun County Sheriff's Office is offering a $2,500 recruitment incentive after successful completion of the required training period. $1,000 is paid after completion of training, generally lasting twelve to sixteen weeks. The additional $1,500 will be paid eight weeks after the completion of training. Then, to reward your commitment to the department and community, employees are eligible for a $500/month retention incentive following 6 months of employment, subject to attendance criteria.
Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to comply with all Michigan Commission On Law Enforcement Standards (M.C.O.L.E.S.) and be certified or certifiable at the time when eligible candidates apply.
  • Must possess a valid Michigan Driver's License.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
