Production Superintendent - 2nd Processing (2nd Shift)

Responsibilities:
- Operational Excellence:
- Ensure plant effectiveness and efficiency within the Second Processing Area.
- Supervise Rehang and Wings operations during the day shift.
- Leadership and Coaching:
- Provide clear direction, training, and coaching to Supervisors and indirectly to hourly production associates.
- Work toward achieving company-established production goals.
- Safety and Environment:
- Create a safe and secure working environment by adhering to company-approved processes.
- Foster positive relationships with production and support staff, making our company the Employer of Choice.
- Budget Accountability:
- Establish, measure, and be accountable for departmental operating budgets to maintain competitiveness.
- Operational Plans:
- Meet all departmental operational plans, ensuring targets for yield, birds per man-hour, pounds per man-hour, line efficiency, CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index), and QI (Quality Index) are achieved.
- Turnover Reduction and Safety Focus:
- Implement processes to reduce turnover and improve safety results (as measured by the Safety Scorecard).
- Cultivate an environment that attracts and retains talent.
- Skill Enhancement:
- Continuously provide training to enhance supervisory skills and improve the skill set of hourly production associates.
- Innovation and Quality:
- Develop new ideas and methods to enhance operational performance, product quality, and customer reliability.
- Departmental Oversight:
- Responsible for Grading, Giblet Packing, Cut Up, and Overwrap departments.
- Strategic Alignment:
- Support and promote the company's annual People, Products, and Profitability goals through effective planning and communication.
- Emphasize the need for efficiency and effectiveness among all team members.
Requirements: - Education:
- A 4-year degree in Poultry Science, Animal Science, Agriculture, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
