Zachry Group is currently looking for a Procurement Assistant to support PLNG.

Position Summary:

To support Procurement Coordinators and Field Procurement Manager. Responsibilities may also include various administrative and clerical duties such as data input, report development, quotation follow up, expediting follow up with suppliers, supplier research/due diligence, filing, procurement document management, invoice review/reconciliation, OS&D resolution support, etc.

Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Operate personal computer to input, edit, and produce a wide range of documents and format variations within established quality and time guidelines.
  • Assist project buying team with a variety of duties involving retrieving, compiling, filing, and arranging electronic documents
  • Working knowledge of e-mail and ability to create basic to intermediate documents using Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Able to learn and become proficient in Zachry software including Oracle to complete PO/PO Release entry, extracting data and reports
  • Follow up/expedite internal approvals
  • Assist with invoice reviews; reconcile discrepant invoices/POs
  • Assist with supplier discussion to resolve OS&Ds
  • Prepare reports as requested
  • Manage files and documentation
  • Assist Procurement Coordinators to prepare for supplier meetings and other related activities
  • Assist Procurement Coordinators with managing Rental Log.
  • Perform job duties and meet deadlines with limited oversight of daily work, including decision-making and prioritizing assignments
  • Support project buying team in a collaborative and professional manner
  • Be open to additional, similar responsibilities


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • 3+ years procurement/buying experience
  • Must illustrate proficient computer use skills including but not limited to the ability to use common office related applications and the aptitude to learn new software systems quickly
  • Team-work oriented
  • Occasional travel may be required
  • Able to work in a fast-paced multi-tasked office environment with demanding deadlines
  • Able to work independently and remain detail-oriented
  • Relocation is typically required for field procurement assignments
  • Willingness to work overtime
  • Demonstrated business acumen;
  • Strong language skills (written and oral);
  • Strong math skills;
  • Possess strong computer skills, especially in Excel and Word;
  • Possess excellent organizational skills;
  • Ability to thrive in a team working environment;
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associates or more advanced degree
  • 5+ years procurement experience
  • Experience in industrial construction with procurement experience being a bigger plus
