Introduction
As anIBM Application Architect, you directlyhelp clients transformtheir businessandsolve complex problems. You will define the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of IBM platforms. You are a technical leader, serving as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders.

Your Role and Responsibilities
Seeking an Application Architect with at last 15 years of experience with Architectural frameworks and how to design applications including experience developing physical and logical architectures, experience with z/OS, and experience with both Java application and mainframe programming and migration. Understanding of modernization approaches, cloud technologies, application analysis tools, and strong communication skills desired. Active IRS MBI Clearance Highly Desirable

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Minimum of 15 years of experience with Architectural frameworks and how to design applications
Experience developing physical and logical architectures, leveraging client templates/process
Experience with z/OS
Experience with both Java application and mainframe programming and migration
Validate overall solution with client and project team
Deep understanding of IBM Z systems: Minimum of 15 years of work experience with a demonstrated knowledge of z/OS, Assembly Language, DB2, QSAM, IMS, CA Endevor, BMC Control-M, JCL, and other core IBM mainframe technologies.
Active IRS MBI Clearance Highly Desirable

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Modernization approaches: Familiarity with various modernization strategies like refactoring, containerization, cloud integration, and API enablement.
Cloud technologies: Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure etc.) and their capabilities for hosting modernized applications.
Application analysis tools: Expertise in tools that analyze mainframe applications, identify dependencies, and assess modernization feasibility.
Strong Communication Skills: Demonstrated ability to validate legacy and target solution architectures with client and project team.
