**Rigging Installation Crew Member**
Erlanger, Kentucky | Full Time This is a full-time position performing installation activities based in our Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky office. This position will focus on the installation of manual theatrical rigging, motorized rigging, stage curtains, stage curtain tracks, and pipe grids. A successful candidate will be a motivated individual who is interested in providing best in class customer service and has the technical skills to complete tasks on time.
**Duties and Responsibilities:**
* Assist in installation of stage rigging equipment, distribution, curtains, tracks, sound panels, and theatrical lighting.
* Assist Project Managers with resource management in the fabrication shop.
* Load and ensure that all trucks are stocked adequately with hardware and miscellaneous items.
* Fill material load lists on as-needed basis.
* Perform all safety check activity including documentation, photos, curtain samples, etc. and offer suggestions for repairs, safety inspections, and improvements.
* Ensure all records are accurately completed and maintained.
* Perform other duties as assigned and directed
**Supervisory Responsibilities:**
* This position requires no supervisory responsibility.
**Qualifications and Education:**
* Must have a High School diploma or equivalent. One or more years in a construction environment is a plus.
* Must be OSHA 30-Hour Certified. ETCP certification is not required to be hired, but candidate may be required to obtain ETCP certification during employment.
* Must provide all hand tools to perform specified job duties.
* All employees interact with clients; excellent customer service skills, professional appearance and demeanor are a must.
* A valid State of Pennsylvania (PA) drivers license and a good driving record are required.
* Must possess, or be physically fit to obtain, a Medical Card and meet DOT requirements for driving a commercial motor vehicle.
* Must be able to pass local, state, school and federal background checks, as required by project.
* Must be able to pass 7-panel drug screen.
* Must be able to travel as scheduled and on an as-needed basis.
* Overtime is required during critical times of the year. Overtime will be determined and managed by department manager.
* Must have strong interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal), ability to organize, prioritize and follow direction.
* Must be able to operate various types of lifts (I.E. forklift trucks, pallet jacks, etc.).
* Requires basic working knowledge of PC based computer skills (Microsoft Office) knowledge and experience with smartphones is a plus.
* Must be able to lift objects over 50lbs with the ability to handle objects over 300lbs.
* Must be able to pass 7-panel drug screen.
**Travel Requirement:**
* This position requires constant travels within the continental United States. Travel may also require occasional stays over weekends. Mileage and applicable expenses will be reimbursed by VLS for these trips.
