Staff Accountant


Job Details

The role is responsible for supporting the financial control and reporting of the Group and its subsidiaries. The individual will have responsibility for subsidiaries and will assist other members of the team with their work. It is an excellent opportunity for a quick learner who is willing to challenge existing processes.


The role is based within the US finance team who have responsibility for maintaining the accurate accounting books and records for the group s US based subsidiaries. The team is also responsible for various reporting requirements including, but not limited to, regulatory reporting and month end reporting to the group reporting team.


Specific responsibilities

  • Review the monthly management accounts for all entities within your area of responsibility, ensuring that the general ledger is accurate and complete and that all analytical reviews and balance sheet reconciliations have been completed and reviewed and review points are addressed
  • Ensure accurate local GAAP financials are maintained for regulated entities and monitor monthly net capital requirements
  • Assist with the preparation of regulatory reporting for regulated entities
  • Prepare management fee calculations and oversee the invoicing process including a monthly review of aged receivable balances
  • Liaise with auditors and tax advisors, ensuring the delivery of information to support the preparation of local tax returns and other tax filings as required
  • Collaborate with other teams within Finance and the organization (locally and in our global offices), including UK and Swiss financial accounting, treasury, tax, group reporting, legal, compliance, and finance business partners to support the delivery of information to and from them in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.
  • Take a proactive role in improving existing processes
  • Support other Financial Control and Reporting initiatives and projects as required

Key competencies

  • Education: Accounting major with CPA or working towards CPA
  • Experience: 1-3 years of accounting or auditing experience, Big 4 or financial services experience preferred
  • IT Skills: Must be computer literate with strong excel skills and have the ability to learn new systems. Experience with general ledger systems would be advantageous.
  • Interpersonal: Communication, organization, and presentation skills together with the ability to confidently deal with multiple stakeholders
  • Other: Individual should have a pro-active attitude and be able to work within the Legal Entity Control team. A quick learner with attention to detail.


Base Salary Range: The anticipated based salary range for this position is $90,000-$100,000 + benefits + a discretionary bonus. This is the base salary range that the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting based on the location and requirements of the position as well as the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant. The Firm reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
