Position: Controller
Location: Columbus, OH
Salary Range: $150,000 - $170,000
The Superior Group is looking for a Controller to oversee and manage the Accounting functions (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Tax). This role is based at our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Payroll, and Tax
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, and assist with regulatory reporting, as applicable
- Identify and address variances and financial trends
- Find ways to continuously improve internal accounting processes
- Support quarterly and annual financial audit and tax activities
- Oversee the completion of monthly account reconciliations
- Partner with external auditors to ensure a successful closing and reporting at year-end
- Assist with managing the company's cash flow and liquidity
- Drive a high level of compliance with GAAP
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including payroll and income tax filings

Your Expertise- You have 8-10+ years of experience in corporate accounting
- You earned your bachelor's degree in Accounting
- You have prior experience in managing direct reports
- CPA or MBA is preferred
- Bonus points if you are familiar with finance in the construction industry
