POSITIONSUMMARY:

The purpose of this position is to support scientific research andeducational efforts in the School of Science and Engineering by supporting theDean and acting as an active team member of the SOSE Dean's Office. The teammember in this position provides day to day support for the dean, includingprojects. Additionally, they are tasked with payroll, overseeing large schoolevents such as graduation.

DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work with the other members of the team to plan events such asgraduation, fall fest etc

Does payroll biweekly

Work with the Dean on projectsincluding accreditation, key performance indicators and other projects

Hire and supervise the student aide

Working with other team members tosupport school efforts including but not limited to URP, student standing withthe Asst Dean and the DOBA

Duties as assigned by the supervisor

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and 1-3 years of progressivelyresponsible experience

Preferred qualifications:

1-3 years of experience is preferred working in an academic environment

Alternately, the successful candidate may possess any equivalent combination ofexperience and training, which provides the knowledge, skills and abilitiesrequired to perform the essential job functions. This includes, but is notlimited to, the following:

Microsoft Office Suite, especially Exceland Word; Adobe Pro; ability to learn other programs

Ability towork as a team, take initiative on projects, and be flexible regarding day today work duties
