Senior HR Manager Consultant


Job Details

Our client is a publicly traded biotech company developing gene cell therapies for autoimmune diseases. We are hiring a Senior HR Manager consultant for maternity leave and 3-4 months duration. This position reports to the VP, Human Resources and requires on-site in Berkeley.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide analytical support compensation analysis, performance management, system implementation ADP WFN, leave administration, process improvement, and HR compliance.
  • Facilitates talent reviews and provides input to leadership to ensure they are integrating talent management principles and leader development opportunities across the business.
  • Consults on organization design and drives change management and communication initiatives.
  • Responsible for reporting on HR metrics to provide insights and recommendations to leaders regarding staffing, retention, succession planning and competitive market positioning.
  • Advises business leadership in the overall approach to people management, workforce strategy and execution; recommends and implements strategies.
  • Help support development efforts in Recruiting, Performance Reviews, Employee Engagement, Onboarding Programs and HRIS system implementation.
  • Assist in reviewing policies, maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of HR experience or equivalent combination of education, training, & experience. In-depth knowledge of HR Management, principles, functions, best practices and proven track record as an HR leader.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Psychology, Business Administration or relevant field
  • Exposure to biotech, life science, pharmaceutical industries is preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Ability to establish cross-functional relationships across a team of diverse styles, skills, and experience levels.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Experience influencing internal partners and team members through communication skills including coaching, facilitation, problem-solving, conflict resolution.
  • Good organizational and time management skills, with a high attention to detail and focus on customers.
  • Experience collecting, analyzing, interpreting data and preparing actionable items and measurable outcomes.
  • Operates with an important level of integrity and keeps information confidential.
