Food Service Director


Job Details

We are looking for the right person to come lead the Pilgrim's Market deli and food production teams consisting of 28-30 staff including department managers, assistant managers, and administration.

Compensation Type: Salary (DOE) plus bonus

Schedule: Will reflect store and team needs

Reports to: Executive Management Team



Responsibilities:


  • Administration: Oversee all aspects of food service operations, including budgeting, scheduling, inventory management, production and human resources.
  • Food Safety: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, implement sanitation procedures, and maintain cleanliness standards.
  • Recipe and Program Development: Oversee development of innovative organic and healthy grab and go product offerings as well as made to order caf items, create new recipes, and implement innovative food programs to meet customer preferences and dietary needs.
  • Coaching: Provide leadership and guidance to kitchen staff, including training on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and customer service.
  • Team Member Management: Recruit, hire, and train food service personnel, conduct performance evaluations, and address any disciplinary issues as needed.
  • Customer Service: Ensure high-quality service standards are maintained, address customer feedback and complaints, and strive to enhance the overall dining experience.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor s degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in food service management, with a focus on administration, food safety, and program development (required).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and coach a diverse team.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices related to food safety and sanitation.
  • Creative culinary skills and a passion for developing new recipes and menus.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
