OVERVIEW:

The Service Center Supervisor will oversee the shop and field service jobs to ensure the quality and delivery times meet customer expectations while performing on and offsite repairs ( when needed) for all manner of rotating and heavy industry equipment. In this role, you will expand your knowledge to assist in the recommendations of new technologies and procedures to achieve the needs and goals of KSB North America. This role is on-site in Bakersfield, CA reporting to the Director of Aftermarket Sales & Service.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages shop operations efficiently, coordinating tasks and schedules to meet both internal and external customer needs
  • Proficient in repairing mechanical equipment, adept at utilizing metric and imperial systems
  • Skilled in using calipers and micrometers, employing analytical abilities for systematic problem-solving
  • Familiar with MS Office, Windows and ERP software
  • Capable of interpreting technical documentation for inspection reports
  • Prioritizes personal safety and proper equipment usage
  • Proficient in wire connection as per specifications
  • Supervises and develops shop personnel, actively involved in recruitment and onboarding
  • Projects economic impact of materials and schedules auxiliary material for Service Center requirements
  • Upholds highest KSB standards for quality and quantity of work
  • Optimizes operating material usage and adheres to ISO standards
  • Implements lean production processes for improved efficiency
  • Generates comprehensive documentation and reports
  • Manages shop work schedule to optimize resource utilization
  • Recommends cost reduction strategies and enhances profitability


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 5 years of experience in pump or rotating equipment mechanics, including 1-year specific experience with impeller and voltage conversions, as well as repairs of KSB water market products
  • Written and Verbal professional communication skills
  • Prefers a certification with impeller and voltage conversions repairs
  • Basic understanding of electrical motor wiring
  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record


TRAVEL:
  • May be both within the U.S., as well as internationally, to join and participate in necessary product training.
  • Up to 10%, as required
