You will have the opportunity to work remotely and empower students to achieve their language learning goals through personalized and interactive online lessons.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct one-on-one and small group online English tutoring sessions for adult learners.
- Develop customized lesson plans tailored to the individual needs and learning styles of students.
- Provide comprehensive instruction in English grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversation skills.
- Create a supportive and encouraging learning environment to motivate and inspire students to reach their language learning objectives.
- Utilize a variety of teaching resources and multimedia tools to enhance the learning experience.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to promote continuous improvement.
- Help students improve their reading, writing, listening, and speaking proficiency in English.
- Adapt teaching strategies and techniques to accommodate different proficiency levels and learning goals.
- Keep accurate records of student attendance, progress, and performance.
- Stay updated on best practices in language teaching and incorporate innovative methods into lesson planning.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in teaching English as a second language to adult learners, preferably in an online setting.
- Strong command of the English language, including excellent grammar, spelling, and pronunciation skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Patient, empathetic, and supportive attitude towards learners' challenges and progress.
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in using online teaching platforms, video conferencing software, and educational tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a remote work environment.
- Certification in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) or TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) is a plus.
- Flexible availability to accommodate students' schedules across different time zones.
