Ideal candidate will have Geriatric experience in home health, hospice, or long-term care office settings. Candidate would thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and creative environment.

The PACE Patient Service Representative (PSR) is responsible for all activities related to scheduling specialty appointments deemed necessary by the PACE Interdisciplinary Team (IDT). The PSR supports the program with additional responsibilities such as reviewing referrals, managing work queues, authorizations, faxing, billing, and claim reports. The PSR reports to the PACE Center Manager and works collaboratively with the IDT, center staff, and external partnerships through a broad means of communication. This role works closely with the PACE Transportation Supervisor to support effective transportation operations as well as the PACE Clinic for continuity of care with specialty appointments. The PACE program's vision is to provide individualized and joyful care through exemplary teamwork serving as many seniors as possible with the best quality-of-life in their communities. PACE offers seniors and their families the care, nutrition, rehabilitation, transportation, and supportive services they need to remain healthy so that they can live in their own home.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

  • Practice Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • No Weekends, Evenings, or Holidays
  • Coordinates external/specialty appointments and procedures for all PACE program participants in EMR and informs participants, caregivers, and IDT of appointment details
  • Follows PACE IDT approval process for authorization of all external/specialty and follow-up appointments
  • Coordinates with PACE Transportation Supervisor to configure transportation schedule
  • Enters authorizations for all approved and scheduled appointments
  • Follows instructions of PACE Provider Services Coordinator related to claim/billing needs
  • Reviews and completes weekly claim pend reports
  • Communicates necessary authorization information to contracted providers
  • Receives participant bills and coordinates with offices to correct billing procedures
  • Covers multi-line phone in absence of PACE Secretary


QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma/GED- Required
  • Associate's Degree- Preferred
  • 3 years Administrative or Scheduling- Required
  • 1 year Healthcare - Frail or Elderly Population- Required
  • Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association- Within 90 Days- Required
  • Driver's License- Required
  • Medical Terminology Course- Preferred
