Catering Sales Manager Catering Sales Manager Duties and Responsibilities SKILLS:
+ Strong selling skills to include knowledge of sales, negotiation and the closing process.
+ Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills both internally and externally.
+ High level of creativity, enthusiasm and flexibility.
Responsibilities include, but are never limited to:

+ Selling role, handling corporate catering events. Respond promptly to all inquires, lead referrals, and existing clients; resulting in documentation of all communication preferably within 4 hours.
+ Site Inspections and On-Site Entertainment.
+ Create detailed resumes and banquet event orders for each event to ensure all important details are communicated to the support departments.
+ Attend BEO meeting and ensure all event details are properly communicated to support departments in a timely and efficient manner.
+ Walk event space to ensure proper set up and all requirements per the Banquet Event Orders are ready for client.
+ Meet and Greet on site contacts and confirm arrangements for the event.
+ Maintain existing and generate new accounts for market by: Prospecting, Face to Face Appointments and Outside Sales Calls, Attending Industry related Networking Functions, Client Appreciation Parties, Taste of theWit Events, Trade Organization Participation, etc.
+ Complete other duties as outlined by the Managing Director of Sales and Catering.
+ Represent the hotel in a positive manner at all times on property and in the community.
+ Maintain working knowledge of all other departments in the hotel in order to work in unison with all departments.
+ Incorporate marketing initiatives to support sales strategies and activities for specific markets.
+ Meet and exceed Food and Beverage revenue goals through catering sales goals for banquet space and outlet private events.
+ Assist in maintaining a team effort with fellow sales staff members as well as with other departments within the hotel.
+ Develop knowledge of the hotel and restaurants competitive sets to better aid in the sales process.
+ Develop knowledge of trends to make recommendations for pricing/menus/service to remain competitive.
+ Exemplify the hotels Standard Code of Conduct and all other regulations established by management and Employee Handbook.
+ Be completely knowledgeable of hotels emergency procedures as instructed by hotel management.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Communicate in the primary language of the hotel.
+ Be able to work 45 - 55 hours in a week when necessary, including weekends and holidays.
+ A four-year college degree, two years of employment in event sales preferred.
+ Show off the proper uniform/dress at all times and be well groomed.
+ Strong computer skills required. Delphi knowledge preferred.
+ Must possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to multi-task.
