Controller - REIT experience required!!
Real Estate Investment firm looking to bring on a Controller. This role is requiring REIT accounting experience! ***100% onsite
Description:
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with US GAAP and SEC regulations.
- Prepare and review monthly Net Asset Value (NAV), quarterly, and annual filings, and oversee XBRL review.
- Supervise internal controls compliance under SOX, enhancing controls in a dynamic, scaling environment.
- Serve as the main liaison for both external and internal audits and external fund managers.
- Hands-on preparation and review of financials at both property and consolidated levels.
- Provide monthly property financials to fund managers and review consolidated financials.
- Offer expertise in technical accounting, making critical judgments and setting policies.
- Oversee implementation and execution of new accounting standards.
- Manage treasury functions.
- Build and lead a small accounting team.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting and/or Finance
- 10+ years of SEC reporting experience
- REIT industry experience
