JOB SUMMARY
The QC is responsible for inspecting quality throughout the mold production process.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Comply with company Safety Policies and Procedures
Examines thickness of latex and quality of brushing and dabbing
Examines quality of master, checks for cracks
Tracks number of molds completed and damaged on a daily basis
Ensures the proper amount of paste is added or removed
Sends daily communication to supervisors
Answers questions from other employees
Performs other related duties as assigned by department and plant management
Regular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibility
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent Safety and Attendance Record
Previous experience as a mold specialist
Knowledge of the mold application process
Understand how to mix paste to make any necessary mold adjustments
Ability to work independently with little to no supervision
Bilingual (preferred)
Flexible- must be able to work any shift, overtime and weekends
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
The employee should have the following:
No minimum education requirement
No prior experience or training required
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
The employee should possess the ability to:
Prolong standing or in stationary position
Complete repetitive movements such as typing
Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortable
Complete repetitive movements
Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision and hardhat protection)
Lift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds
Ability to move or traverse about the facilities
Must be able to ascend/descend stairs or ladders
Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions
