Pet Stylist / Groomer
Compensation: Starting pay is $25.00 per hour, plus full tips, benefits, and an awesome incentive/bonus program.
We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced dog groomer to join our Tailwashers team! Our ideal candidate is someone looking for an exciting work environment unlike any other grooming salon out there. We believe in building trust and a bond with each dog or cat that is being groomed. Someone who is eager to continue the growth of their skills and comes with a great work ethic. Candidates should be interactive, have a strong desire to be on their feet, and engage with pets and co-workers for their entire shift.
We offer a safe and clean environment for our Pups and an environment that reduces stress levels from both pups and staff, our groomer will only do 5 or 6 grooms a day. We offer daycare, boarding, retail, training, and grooming. We are growing and looking for energetic and outgoing individuals to join our team. This is a great opportunity to build a career!

Groomer Duties and Responsibilities - Previous Grooming experience required
- Bathe and dry pets, including dogs and cats
- Use and perform all safety rules and precautions always
- Intake of each customer's dog and or cat
- Keep the dog calm during the process
- Trim or shear animal coats according to owner specifications
- Clip or file pet's nails as necessary,
- Perform ear-cleaning and anal glands expression
- Prior grooming experience through an internship or apprenticeship is preferred
- Compassion for all animals
- Hand shearing and scissoring skills
- Comfort working with various breeds of dogs and cats
- Ability to work with dogs that weigh over 60 lbs.
- Communication skills

- Open availability for weekdays and weekends
Groomers without a resume with adequate grooming experience will be considered.About Tailwaggers and Tailwashers:Tailwaggers Pet Food and Supplies is locally and independently owned since 2003.
