Concierge/ Showroom Support

SUMMARY

As a concierge, you will be acting as the first point of contact with our visitors. The concierge will value all guests and be committed to providing guests with information and resources to have a meaningful visit. This position is also responsible for providing support in the showroom including organizing, putting away samples, and cutting and labeling new samples for the showroom.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Welcome clients, vendors, and all visitors by assisting them in a professional way. Hangs up coats, offers beverages, and direct guests to appropriate personnel.

Responsible for providing office reception with effective telephone and email communications both internally and externally.

Retrieve messages from company voicemail and forward to appropriate personnel.

Answer questions about HB Flooring Solutions and H/B Furniture divisions and provide callers with address, directions, or other information as requested.

Maintain a neat and orderly reception/common area, stock reception desk and conference rooms with supplies.

Assist guests in setting up or connecting to conference room technology.

Manage mail flow daily by distributing incoming mail, providing outgoing postage, and receiving packages from Fed Ex, UPS, etc.

Prepare accommodations for lunch meetings including order pick-up.

Responsible for tidying and organizing the showroom space as well as the sampling spaces and any other workspace as needed.

Responsible for ordering, packaging, and shipping samples for various departments by request.

Assist in putting away samples after customer appointments

Assists in cutting, labeling, and arranging new samples for the showroom space.

Support design, project management, and sales groups with duties and projects as needed.

Help with administrative overflow as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong active listening skills

Tech savvy, can conduct phone calls and take detailed notes

Strong organization skills

Passion to go above and beyond to deliver excellent customer service

EDUCATION and /or EXPERIENCE

Experience in customer service or receptionist related role preferred

Administrative experience preferred

High School Diploma or equivalent

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
