Robert Half Finance & Accounting is partnering with a Broussard, Louisiana oil & gas client is search of a motivated Senior Accountant! The Senior Accountant must be team oriented, proactive, and goal driven. This position is responsible for the quality review of income statements, reconciliation of various balance sheet accounts, and executing the accounting, finance and reporting functions of the Company s month-end close process. Individual will use independence and judgment to recognize and resolve problems within established policies and procedures and is accountable for the quality, timeliness and accuracy of own work and the work submitted by various locations. All work is performed under the general supervision of the Corporate Controller and reviewed for accuracy and timeliness.
Qualifications
- 3+ years' of professional accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience
- Experience in full cycle accounting including creating financial statements, general ledger, reconciliations, month end close and supporting audit
- Experience in oil & gas, industrial services, construction or manufacturing highly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP platforms
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Team oriented mentality
