The Events & Development Coordinator/Senior Coordinator is a pivotal role responsible for the seamless execution of fundraising and community events throughout the year. This position requires adept organizational skills, as well as a knack for securing sponsorships, donations, and engaging with various stakeholders. The incumbent will collaborate closely with the College Settlement team to ensure the success of events and contribute to broader fundraising initiatives such as appeals and Giving Tuesday.

The Events & Development Coordinator/Senior Coordinator is also responsible for assisting the Director of Development in a variety of fundraising initiatives and for creating content for the website and social media platforms.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Event Management:

Organize and oversee multiple fundraising and community events annually:

Volunteer Clean Up Day, May

June Supper, Community Dinner

Acorn to Oaks Gala, Fall

Various other smaller events

Coordinate with vendors, sponsors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth event execution.

Solicit and manage auction and raffle donations to enhance fundraising efforts. Development Support:

Assist the Director of Development in various fundraising initiatives. ? Appeal letters ? Online fundraising campaigns ? Giving Tuesday

Manage gift entries and acknowledgment letters to donors.

Maintain accurate database records to support fundraising activities.

Assist College Settlement team with program assessment and impact measurement. Marketing and Communications:

Engage with diverse stakeholders including clients, campers' parents, teachers, board members, donors, and staff.

Utilize computer programs/software to update and maintain the organization's website, social media platforms, and newsletters.

Create compelling content for newsletters, email campaigns, social media, collateral, and presentations.

Design and produce marketing materials such as camp brochures and outdoor school brochures.

Attend community and networking events to introduce prospective partners and supporters to College Settlement.

Seek professional development and networking opportunities to increase PR experience.

Help manage and market College Settlement's online store

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience or Bachelor's degree with 1-3 years relevant experience.

Excellent communication skills with team, stakeholders, vendors, and senior executives.

Customer-focused team player.

Intermediate proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite programs including Photoshop, InDesign, Canva, and Acrobat, in addition to GoDaddy, Google Workspace, and similar programs/tools.

Experience with DonorPerfect or other CRM preferred.

Demonstrate a strong command of Microsoft Office software suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Pleasant and cordial manner.

Good organizational skills.

Possess a high degree of initiative and proactivity.

Ability to maintain neat and orderly records.

Ability to meet deadlines.

Successfully obtain state and local child clearance.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. This position will also be required to periodically perform duties outdoors at a summer camp that serves children. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to operate an automobile to pick-up supplies.

POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position, and general hours of work and days are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday; however, this position may require extended hours during the summer camp session and during community events and fundraising events. As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting team members and fostering a flexible work environment, we accommodate the option to work remotely as needed.
