Position Summary

Clayton Technology is undertaking a major, multi-year initiative to modernize, simplify, and strengthen our core infrastructure, ultimately impacting or replacing most of our systems. As the Director of ERP, you will be responsible for the implementation and on-going support and enhancement of our Oracle ERP platform.


The Director of ERP will lead the Oracle Cloud implementation team that works cross-functionally within technology and other business units in the company to implement the Oracle ERP Cloud Platform. You will work with our Technology Vice Presidents, Directors, and Program/Portfolio Managers to influence and execute our overarching enterprise program plan and schedule, assemble and manage project teams, identify and resolve project risks and issues, and communicate progress and status to the Accountable Executive Leadership Team.


About The Team

You will be a part of a growing Oracle Cloud implementation team that is responsible for Clayton s modernization initiative to implement the Oracle ERP Cloud Platform. This collaborative team of 50-60 technologists designs, implements and supports Oracle ERP Cloud for all business units across the organization.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the implementation and support of ERP systems supporting all Clayton business units.
  • Lead a team of portfolio managers, project managers, product owners, systems analysts, functional analysts, software engineers and quality assurance resources in the delivery of business-critical technology services.
  • Implementation of highly visible, sensitive, and multi-faceted projects.
  • Ensures ERP projects are delivered within scope, schedule, budget, and quality levels are consistent with customer expectations.
  • Manage a team of 5-6 managers and senior individual contributors with a full team of approximately 50-60 team members and third-party contractors.


Primary Qualifications

  • 10+ years technology experience
  • 5+ year s technology leadership experience
  • Successful track record of delivering technology projects of very high complexity.
  • Previous experience implementing and/or supporting a complex ERP implementation highly preferred.
  • Previous experience implementing and/or supporting Oracle Cloud Financials (ERP, EPM) and Supply Chain modules highly preferred.
  • Previous experience migrating on premise applications to cloud based SAAS platforms.
  • Previous experience with a manufacturing, retail, insurance, and/or financial services organization.
  • Must understand concepts of agile software development methods, the underlying principles that govern them and how multi-year program delivery works in concert with Agile.
  • Strong analytical skills. Utilize root cause and impact analysis, interviews, focus groups, and other data gathering techniques proficiently.
  • Must possess strong written and oral communications skills.
  • Employ Project Management techniques, tools, and methods proficiently.
  • BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent background.
