This role offers you a rare opportunity to directly impact the energy industry working alongside a team of passionate investors and entrepreneurs in a fun, dynamic environment. Shell Ventures is the corporate venturing arm of Shell, managing a $1.4B fund that it invests into innovative companies that can accelerate the energy and mobility transition. The Ventures team engages daily with entrepreneurs who are developing novel technologies and businesses focused on the energy transition, with an aim to find and develop investment opportunities that are financially attractive and of strategic relevance to the broader Shell organization. The Ventures team is both relatively small (~35 personnel) and global, with a presence in China, India, Germany, Netherlands, United Kingdom, and the United States.

As an Administrative Assistant you will be a key member of the US Ventures team, which numbers 10 personnel today, with those team members located in Boston (location of this role), Houston, and San Francisco. The Administrative Assistant role will primarily focus on supporting a small group of Senior US team members. The position will require the support and/or management of certain internal and external work processes and reporting, stakeholder communications and engagement (both internal and external), as well as the support of occasional internal/external events.

Responsibilities:

Management of certain internal and external systems and processes, including internal reporting and workflow management tools.

Stakeholder communications and engagement with internal and external individuals (including senior business leaders and investment professionals). Given the fast-paced nature of the venture capital sector, professional and timely communication is critical.

Calendar, travel, and expense management for senior US team members.

On occasion, working alongside other US and global team members to support the delivery of Shell Ventures events, including the planning, logistics, and budgeting.

Other duties as assigned

Responsible for ensuring a healthy, safe, secure, and environmentally conscious work environment is maintained at all times and by all staff, in compliance with corporate policies and federal and state regulations

Desired Skills and Experience:

Bachelor s Degree (highly preferred), ideally within a relevant field, such as management, marketing, communications, event planning, etc. or relevant commensurate experience in such fields

Minimum of two years of prior experience as an administrative assistant and/or project coordinator, ideally within a technology centric organization

Excellent editing, proofreading, and computer skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel required)

Proven organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple priorities, quickly prioritize workload and easily adjust to rapidly changing circumstances

Prior experience working with Concur and/or Salesforce (preferred)
