In the role of Senior Financial Analyst specializing in large capital projects, you will assume a critical position within our organization, spearheading the financial aspects of our most substantial ventures. With a focus on projects ranging from $100 million to $1 billion, you will bring extensive experience and expertise in underwriting, deal structuring, and loan management to the forefront. Your responsibilities will encompass the end-to-end financial lifecycle of these projects, from initial evaluation and strategic planning to execution and ongoing monitoring. Drawing upon your deep understanding of financial markets and your proficiency in financial modeling and analysis, you will lead the charge in assessing the feasibility and financial viability of our ambitious initiatives. Through rigorous due diligence and risk assessment, you will identify opportunities for optimization and mitigate potential challenges, ensuring that each project is set up for success from the outset

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead financial analysis and due diligence processes for large capital projects, assessing risks and opportunities to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Develop comprehensive business cases and investment proposals, incorporating financial modeling, scenario analysis, and market research.
  • Manage the underwriting process for project financing, negotiating terms and structuring deals to optimize capital structure and mitigate risk.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with organizational objectives and ensure successful project execution.
  • Monitor project budgets, cash flows, and financial performance, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage relationships with lenders, investors, and financial institutions throughout the loan application, approval, and funding process.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and industry best practices in project finance and capital markets.
  • Conduct sensitivity analysis and scenario planning to assess potential impacts on project financials and develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Evaluate and recommend financing options, including debt, equity, and alternative sources of funding, to optimize project capitalization.
  • Provide strategic guidance and financial insights to project teams, helping to drive informed decision-making and maximize project returns.
  • Collaborate with legal, tax, and regulatory teams to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
  • Support post-project evaluation and analysis, assessing financial performance against initial projections and identifying lessons learned for future projects.
  • Mentor and coach junior team members, providing guidance and support in developing their financial analysis and project management skills.

Job Qualifications:

  • Must be U.S. Citizen.
  • This position is based at our company headquarters in Bryn Mawr, PA, just outside Philadelphia. It is an in-person, onsite role. Applicants should be currently residing in or willing to relocate to the area. Please note that this is not a remote or virtual position; daily onsite attendance is required.
  • Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
  • years of experience in financial analysis, project finance, investment banking, or related roles, with a focus on large capital projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully underwriting, structuring, and closing complex debt and equity transactions.
  • Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Deep understanding of financial markets, credit risk assessment, and capital structuring principles.
  • Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
