Our Jersey City branch is looking for a new National Payroll Specialist to join our Finance team.Your RoleOur Payroll Specialist is responsible for the accurate processing of weekly payrolls via UKG Pro, along with applicable verbal and written stellar customer service.Your ResponsibilitiesProcess weekly payroll for our non-exempt population via UKG ProProvide direction and support to HR teams and employees to resolve time reporting and pay issuesCollaborate with Human Resources to ensure appropriate data workflowAssist manager in preparing data material for internal and external audit requestsCalculate and communicate salary changes and/or corrections effectively, resolving issues and updating payroll system as neededEnsure accurate, timely, and adequate follow-up of payroll requests via email, ticketing system, telephone, and voicemailsAssist manager with preparation and facilitation of year-end activities between HRIS, HR, Benefits and Payroll to ensure continued operations when transitioning calendar yearsDistribute and manage pay cards, as requiredParticipate in improvements, updates, and testing of payroll related systemsMaintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidentialSupport internal and external payroll audits throughout the calendar yearYour Skills and ExperiencesBachelor s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceKnowledge of UltiPro / UKG Pro payroll processing and payroll concepts preferredAmerican Payroll Association Certification a plus5 years of full payroll cycle processing experienceProficient in employment tax is preferredComprehensive knowledge of Federal, state and local regulationsStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multi-taskStrong decision-making, problem-solving skills, and root cause analysis capabilitiesStrong Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) skillsGood Reasons to JoinAt Kuehne+Nagel we strive daily to inspire, empower, and deliver not only to our customers, but also to our colleagues. Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
