Job Details

Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare for emergency situations such as leaking hoses/fittings and/or tank overflow
  • Check product quality in rail car, truck or tank by collecting lab samples using best practice sampling method
  • Inspect equipment such as pumps, fittings, tanks, hoses, and valves by checking oil levels, temperatures and searching for leaks.
  • Inspect railcars prior to unloading product for damage or cleanliness and missing items
  • Makes minor repairs such as tightening packing, greasing pump motors, fixing leaks by using small hand tools like grease guns or wrenches
  • Prepare equipment for maintenance
  • Report all equipment problems and operational equipment
  • Unload tank cars with product like diesel fuels, ethanol and gasoline using the proper unloaded processes

Must Haves:

  • 2+ years of relevant industrial, military, mechanical, stationary equipment experience
  • Ability to carry or pull up to 50 lbs and climb 40 feet
  • High School Diploma

Plusses:

  • Experience in refinery or chemical plants
  • Continued education in mechanical or chemical related discipline
