Facilities Maintenance Technician at Spudnik in Blackfoot, Idaho, United States Job Description Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician Last Updated: 6/21/2023 Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Department: 8230 - Maintenance SOC Code: 49-9043 Job Summary The Facilities Technician provides quality building and grounds maintenance support, ensuring all work areas, grounds and equipment remain operational, efficient, and in top condition. The Technician is responsible for daily facilities preventative maintenance, as well as identifying and addressing facilities focused improvement projects. The Facilities Technician is responsible for ensuring that facilities specific equipment and infrastructure remain operational and in presentable condition. Facilities Technician will be available for fluctuating shifts and on-call work schedules where appropriate in order to respond to grounds keeping and maintenance needs. Technician will demonstrate high levels of responsibility and accountability, working effectively and efficiently on assigned tasks and projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as necessary. - Maintain, troubleshoot and repair facilities related equipment and systems such as overhead doors, man doors, lighting, HVAC systems, irrigation & drainage systems, and electrical & plumbing systems. - Perform routine preventative maintenance and seasonal maintenance on facility equipment, as required by Department Supervisor to ensure proper facility and equipment operation. - Coordinate with vendors to assist in facilities related repairs, projects, and upgrades. - Observe, test, and evaluate operation of facilities equipment to successfully diagnose root causes of malfunctions and errors. - Examine parts and components for defects such as excessive wear or breakage and make necessary repairs, replacements, adjustments, and alignments. - Operate mobile equipment as needed to maintain facilities and assist with projects. - Record parts and materials used, ordering or requisitioning parts and materials as necessary. - Record all repairs and maintenance performed, providing detailed supporting documentation including instructions, drawings, and specifications related to diagnosis and repair.
