Castle Creations is looking for an experienced leader to manage manufacturing operations and production activities. Responsibilities include supervising production personnel and equipment, process engineering, safety, quality and administration functions.

This position will direct Castle s manufacturing operation to meet the strategic, financial, quality, cultural and organizational goals of the company while satisfying the evolving demands of our customers. This position requires strong communication skills to lead associates, implement tactical plans and create an ongoing culture of continuous improvement.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Lead SMT, assembly, and warehouse operations with responsibility for manufacturing quality, safety and facilities.
  • Build and maintain site capacity as needed to satisfy customer demand, support on-time delivery and finished goods inventory targets.
  • Foster a Lean culture by investigating and implementing new ideas to improve quality and/or productivity and support cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Manage production line assignments daily as needed to ensure each line is staffed appropriately based on available headcount / resources.
  • Recruit, interview, hire and train new personnel as needed for SMT, assembly and warehouse.
  • Establish and track day-by-hour production targets for each assembly line, providing constructive feedback or corrective action as needed to achieve and maintain daily goals.
  • Maintain and communicate weekly productivity, attendance and inventory reports.
  • Appraise work performance, reward and discipline employees, address complaints and resolve problems in operations.
  • Work with engineering and others to troubleshoot and maintain production equipment and to revise work instructions as needed.
  • Coordinate production plans with supply chain management.
  • Support new product introduction with engineering, marketing and sales via prototype runs, first article inspection, and launch scheduling.
  • Lead root cause analysis for in-line or field product failures and establish corrective action plans as needed.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce scrap, fallout and customer returns while documenting quality system procedures.
  • Enforce and maintain a safe, clean working environment for SMT, assembly and warehouse.
  • Serve as a part of the leadership team for strategic planning, budgeting and other initiatives.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, or other related field; with a minimum of seven years direct experience in operations including five years of management experience. Specific experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of operations, including scheduling, procurement, manufacturing, and engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and achieve results.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and ISO Quality Management systems.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills to interface with co-workers, vendors, customers, and management, in a respectful and professional manner.
  • Problem solving, project management, data analysis and critical thinking skills at strategic and functional levels.
  • General knowledge of product development and new product introduction process.
  • General knowledge of finance, including ability to read and understand financial data such as income statements and perform ROI analysis.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Excel.
