Yellow Arrow is seeking to expand its Board of Directors. These roles are volunteer positions that carry a responsibility to contribute to the organizations success. Board Members are required to meet the following criteria:
- Passionate about Yellow Arrows mission
- Supportive of a diverse, transparent, inclusive culture
- Willing to dedicate time to supporting Yellow Arrows growth and sustainability, including:
- Attending regular board meetings, including reading all prep materials and participating actively in discussions
- Understanding that YAPs board is a working board and the majority of staff roles are on a volunteer basis; board participation is very hands-on and essential to our success
- Volunteering their time to board-related tasks as needed
- Contributing to Yellow Arrows financial standing, either by making an annual personal donation or a commitment to raise an equivalent amount through soliciting external donations
- Spending time learning and understanding the organizations mission, culture, policies, and programs
- Advocating for the organization
- Informing others about the organization and sharing news and events on social media
- Attending YAP events whenever possible
- Taking on special assignments as needed
- Providing expertise and guidance to staff members in corresponding functional areas
