Crisis Intervention Specialist


Job Details

Must-haves

-2-3+ years of experience within the crisis/behavioral health space

-Ability to work remotely with access to strong, reliable high-speed internet

-Ability to navigate high-stress situations that include topics such as suicidal ideation

-Must exhibit qualities of acceptance, empathy, and objectivity while being non-judgmental, non-directive, and responsive to the feelings of callers

-Must have access to private workspace

-Must have a PC or Mac (equipment is NOT provided)

-Crisis Intervention support or emergency dispatch experience

-Ability to engage with diverse communities

-Computer experience and proficient typing skills

-Excellent listening and verbal communication skills


Plusses

-5+ years of experience within the crisis/behavioral health space

-Mental health/first aid certifications

-Non-clinical paraprofessionals

-Psychological first aid training (6-hour duration)


Day-to-Day

Insight Global is seeking fully remote contact center crisis specialists who can conduct life-saving support for a wide demographic. The crisis intervention specialists will be responding to crisis hotline calls according to established protocols, assessing the degree of callers' risk, ensure the confidentiality of callers and any information shared, providing callers with referrals to resources, and calling for emergency medical and/or police intervention if necessary.
