Service Technician (Boilers)


Job Details

WC Smith has a great opportunity for an experienced Boiler Service Technician to join our Washington Heating and Cooling division. Our Heating and Cooling division provides heating maintenance and repair support across our portfolio in the Washington, DC area.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Manually move debris, bulk trash, or other materials or perform other unskilled general labor.
Responsible for the daily upkeep of common areas and property buildings.
Repair boiler issues on multiple properties throughout the city.
Report maintenance needs to supervisor or maintenance department.
Be aware of and operate within OSHA (Occupation Safety & Health Act) standards.
Unload delivery trucks and stack material in shop

PHYSICIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to stand for long periods of time (8 hours or more per day).
Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Bend/Stoop/Squat Kneel, Perform routine maintenance duties, Climb Stairs, Push or Pull, Reach above Shoulders, Climb Step Ladder, Grasp/Grip/Turning, Lifting/Carrying: Supplies, tools, and other equipment over 25 lbs.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED equivalent with 5 years laborer or similar work experience;
Must have a valid driver's license with a record that will permit you to drive company vehicles.
