Basic Function

As part of the Capital Markets team, the primary responsibility of the Sr Director is to lead the successful and timely execution of financings for the company. The role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of transactions, including tax equity, project finance debt, and corporate debt. As the leader of collaborative deal teams, the Sr Director will source the capital providers, negotiate the financing, manage and support the internal deal team, and drive to financial close. We are seeking a director who can overcome challenges while maintaining and even enhancing relationships with capital providers. As a member of management, the Sr Director will contribute to the company s financing strategy development and help improve company processes. The successful candidate will collaborate across the company, mentor more junior members of the team, and contribute to our positive culture.


Responsibilities

  • Lead capital formation for specific financings, including sourcing capital, negotiating deal terms, and managing associated work streams including modeling and due diligence.
  • Identify issues and proactively overcome challenges.
  • Build and maintain deep relationships with capital providers.
  • Collaborate closely with functional teams across the company, including M&A, project development, engineering, procurement, grid integration, construction, operations, and legal.
  • Mentor other members of the Capital Markets team.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of company processes.
  • Stay current on market financing conditions.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in related field. Advanced degree preferred but not required.
  • 10-15 years of experience working at a leading sponsor, investor/lender, or advisor in power/infrastructure/real estate. Utility-scale renewable energy experience highly preferred.
  • Transaction experience required; tax equity or project finance debt experience required.
  • Well versed in MS Excel.
  • Ownership mentality.
  • Proactive to identify and address issues.
  • Self-motivated to do high quality and careful work.
  • Avid learner and collegial.


Location: Redwood City, CA (San Francisco Bay Area) is preferred; hybrid or remote options available.



Base Pay - $200,000 - $240,000


Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, such as skill set, experience, certifications, specific work location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. Base pay may vary per location due to differences in the cost of living.


The total compensation package for this position may also include an annual discretionary bonus, full Health & Wellness Benefits package, generous Long Term Incentive plan designed with our partnership mentality in mind, and other applicable incentive perks as outlined in any formal offer made. The final compensation package will be discussed with the candidate during the final stages of the hiring process.
