Harmonic is excited to be partnering with a well-funded post Series A MedTech company whose early success with their AI driven diagnostics tool has led them to quickly expand their team. Due to their next generation diagnostics technology, the business is in need of a VP of Finance who can come in and own the entire internal finance function.



With a CEO who has strong ties in the VC world, this company has received significant funding from some of the more prominent VC s across the US and Europe.



This senior leadership team is led by their genuine passion for people, leading them to look for an executive leader that mirrors the values driven culture which has been created.



The Role:



As the company embarks on this exciting next phase of development for their diagnostics tool, they re looking for an outstanding VP of Finance to guide the company's strategy and oversee the entire finance function. Collaborating closely with the C-Suite, the VP of Finance will play a pivotal role in laying the groundwork for future success, overseeing FP&A, Accounting, and various operational responsibilities. This role will involve extensive collaboration across all areas of the business and will, in many respects, serve as a prominent representative of the organization going forward. This presents a great opportunity for individuals seeking personal growth in a dynamic environment.



Responsibilities:


  • Drive the strategy for expansion to support product launches and market entry.
  • Take the lead on end-to-end Forecasting, Planning, and Analysis (FP&A) processes.
  • Work closely with the executive team to develop financial models for future funding rounds.
  • Establish insightful analysis and performance-oriented Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Foster relationships with senior stakeholders, board members, and investors.
  • Analyze actual financial performance and present findings to the leadership team.
  • Collaborate with key departments to develop cost budgets and conduct analyses comparing actual performance to budget.
  • Lead evaluations of critical contracts and negotiate with partners and suppliers.
  • Produce consolidated FP&A reports covering multiple projects.
  • Work with project teams to improve accountability and budget management.
  • Undertake various ad-hoc projects aimed at driving growth and efficiency.
  • Supervise an outsourced accounting function.



What We Need:


  • Prior experience in a VC backed startup
  • Prior success in helping scale a business in the startup environment
  • Prior experience in the MedTech/MedDevice space
  • Prior experience in building out an internal finance function from the top down
  • Strategic thinker
  • Excellent communicator
  • Commercially astute



What We d Like:


  • Experience in spearheading VC fundraising
  • Experience in a regulated environment



Salary: $280,000 - $330,000 + Bonus + Equity + Benefits Package



Location: New York / Boston (Hybrid)
