Associate, Assistant Operator


Job Details

Hourly Wage: $20.75

Must meet minimum Work Keys scores as follows:

  • Applied Math 3
  • Graphic Literacy 3
  • Workplace Observation 2
Key Responsibilities:
  • Understand and follow production schedules.
  • Understand QMS, Quality Forms and Procedures.
  • Basic knowledge on Buamer inspection System and B-grade packaging procedures.
  • Ability to select recipe and operate Packaging System including, cleaning brushes, leaflet inserter, & basic 5g operation.
  • Basic understanding of Pad Application and Camera System.
  • Ability to select recipe & setup plastic forming and sealing system.
  • Ability to select recipe & setup finish pallet stacking/robot systems.
  • Ability to operate & setup pallet magazine/outfeed transport system.
  • Ability to operate & setup strapper/wrapper system.
  • Basic setup & operation of video jet laser marking system.
  • Ability to change product labels for cartons/pallets.
  • Assist operator with paint systems as needed.
  • Ensure to follow the safety pre-operational checks, and the plant's safety program always.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage during the replacement of Propane tanks.
  • Responsible for Operating equipment in a safe manner as outlined in Job Hazardous Analysis or SOP
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Shift lead and/or Flooring Department Manager.

  • Completes all assigned training on time.
  • Supports safety related initiatives.

Quality:
  • Perform routine quality checks as defined in STM 206 and record all data and observations on the applicable check sheet.
  • Manage nonconforming material product handling.
  • Communicate quality issues with the Flooring Line Operator and/or Shift lead.
  • Ensure quality of packaging meets expectation of customer.
  • Ensure required data entries and scans are 100% accurate.
  • Inspect pallets for proper labeling.

Human Relation:
  • Attendance should be predictable and a model.
  • Maintain accessibility throughout the shift.
  • Communicate to supervisors observed behaviors that could be potential safety, quality, and performance risk.


Professional Experience:
  • Must have excellent Written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and be accountable for quality/productivity.
  • Must be able to perform basic math calculations such as addition and subtraction.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities, establish and achieve goals


Education and specialized skills profile:
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Basic computer skills with ability to learn SAP, WinCC, and other site-specific software/programs.


Environment and Behavioral profile:
  • Candidate will be exposed to loud noise that may exceed 87 decibels.
  • Candidate must be able to complete task under extreme hot climate temperatures internally on the shopfloor, which can exceed 110 degrees F.
  • The Assistant Production Operator will be subjected to all environmental elements such as exposure to high/low temperatures, sun/rain, confined spaces etc.
  • The Assistant Production Operator must be able to complete daily tasks under little to no supervision, should have the ability to multitask in a challenging environment, making decisions quickly with clear consistent communication


Linguistic Profile:
  • The FUB Department embraces the diversity of languages, but most, if not all, communication verbally and written is preferred in English to successfully complete the appropriate scope of work.


Mobility and Physical Requirement profile:
  • Work location is Barnwell. This job operates in a manufacturing environment.
  • Be expected to stand for a full shift. Employee will be required to perform climbing stairs, walking, squatting, kneeling, or driving lift truck duties at variable frequency.
  • There is occasional lifting that may require handling of components which can weigh up to approximately 50 lbs.
  • The employee must occasionally climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • While performance the job duties of this job, the employee regularly operator HMI, communicate by talking on radio, and walk constantly throughout 12 hours shift.
  • This is a full-time position, which works 12 hours shift rotation 6:45 to 7:00 days, nights, and frequent weekends


Key relationships (internal and external stakeholder)
  • Internal: PT, KT, Maintenance, Production Planning, Research & Development and Sales Representative.
  • External: Vendors, Suppliers, Service Contractors, and other Krono Swiss Plants.
