One of our clients, a global manufacturing privately held company, is looking for an experienced VP of Finance to join their U.S. team.
Reporting to the General Manager and global CFO and serving as an integral member of the senior management team, the VP of Finance will be responsible for the development of our financial management strategy and contribute to the development of the organization s strategic goals as well as reporting the financial results + analysis to the group s HQ; work closely with the corporate controller and Group s CFO.
The company's location is in Emporia, Virginia. The VP of Finance should be ready to work from that location 4 days a week.
This is a hands-on position, requiring the successful candidate to be well-versed in Finance Management, but also willing and able to handle transactions, prepare financial statements and presentations, etc. This is an outstanding opportunity for a finance executive with operational experience and a proven track record of creative problem-solving and change management.
The VP of Finance will be expected to monitor the financial health of the company, including keeping careful tabs on its regular transactions, cash flow, and any business deals that affect the bottom line.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience in a senior management role ideally with both external audit and in-house financial management experience gained in a high-growth organization
- Operational/Manufacturing experience, understands inventory capitalization, burden rate compilation, budgeting etc. (this is a MUST)
- Knowledge of US GAAP and manufacturing cost accounting experience is highly preferred
- Experience in Government contracts with military applications is an advantage
- Defense Industry Experience is an advantage
- CPA is preferred
