Brunel has an exciting job opportunity for a Process Safety Manager located in Graham, KY, working for our client who are a global leader in the commercial explosives industry.

Responsible for process safety effort across the facility. You will interface with the appropriate Health and Safety and manufacturing resources to resolve implement or delegate process safety requirements.

What You will Do

As the PSM Manager, you will be responsible for process safety effort across the facility. You will interface with the appropriate Health and Safety and manufacturing resources to resolve implement or delegate process safety requirements. Other duties include:

  • and/or lead the commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral based safety.
  • compliance with applicable HSE performance standards, objectives, and regulations.
  • and foster the IPL Corporate Values
  • of Process Hazard Analysis and Layers of Protection Analysis studies
  • and auditing various existing process safety programs such as Management of Change (MOC) program site wide.
  • process safety through identification of corrective actions and managing the improvement through closure.
  • and tracking goals and measures for PSM program improvement.
  • and directs the development and implementation of process safety standards and management systems assuring the foundation for regulatory compliance, management of risk, training/competency development, program consistency and continuous performance improvement. Coordinating process safety training at the site.
  • with implementation of site safety and health programs.
  • site safety incident investigation teams.

What We are Looking For:

  • degree in chemical engineering. Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering degree required.
  • or education in the chemical industry required.
  • years demonstrated safety skills in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
  • with OSHA laws compliance and requirements.
  • working knowledge of the Quality Assurance program and safety processes through previous assignments.
  • to provide direction and coaching to others in an effective leadership manner and foster teamwork and collaboration.
  • of basic investigative techniques for root cause analysis.
  • be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosives.
  • attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
