Description:

This is a full-time role for an Instrumentation Technician who performs assembly and disassembly and assists with troubleshooting, maintenance, calibration, and repairs on related instrumentation. This role supports industrial customers primarily in the field at various customer sites within a given territory; daily travel, sometimes overnight, is standard. The Instrumentation Technician ensures that all manufacturer s specifications are followed, they prepare for the job with the appropriate tooling, documentation, details, and communication to customer. They provide technical support to customers and sales staff, respond to on-call requests outside of work hours and looks for additional opportunities to recommend service or sales to the customer. This role is based out of headquarters in Edgemont, PA.


Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate degree in Technical Field Preferred.
  • 1-5 years experience in related technical field or environment.
  • Must be able to obtain certifications in all required ECI and Principal programs.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain TWIC and PSM credentials. Forklift, Scissors, lift, and confined spaces certification may also be required.
  • Valid US Driver s License required.


Physical Requirements/ Working Conditions:


  • Physical environment: 90% manufacturing facility/plant. Fluctuating temperatures depend on the production environment. Must be able to traverse production facility.
  • Some customers may require clean shaven (no facial hair) for entry to plant.
  • Prolonged periods of standing in the factory/plant and at times, sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Physically able to climb, stand, walk, kneel, bend and crouch for extended periods of time, including ladders and scaffolding.
  • Manual dexterity to evaluate, repair, calibrate, and modify equipment.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and be comfortable with heights.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Proper lifting techniques required.
  • Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required in order lift documents and other items throughout the workday.
  • The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas where under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection.
