Position Cook Location C&P Warrington Description **Position Summary**

Responsible for the daily preparation, cooking and plating of all food orders in an efficient, safe, and attractive manner.

**Job Tasks**

* Maintain a positive, respectful attitude at all times

* Perform food preparation duties when needed

* Check food for quality and presentation before serving

* Ensure food is handled in a sanitary manner

* Set up stations according to restaurant guidelines

* Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by Chickies & Petes. All food items must be prepared according to the Menu Build.

* Restocks all items as needed throughout shift

* Cleans/maintains station in practicing good safety, sanitation, and organizational skills

* Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas

* Ensure proper temperatures are maintained on cooking and refrigeration equipment

* Communicate effectively with the Expeditor

* Awareness of food allergies and possible areas of cross contamination

* Attend all scheduled employee meetings

* Additional tasks as assigned

Position Requirements **Main Responsibilities, Required Skills and Knowledge**

**Communication**

**Must clearly communicate in a professional manner with Guests, vendors, coworkers and management. Must understand instructions, read written company memorandums and communicate when he or she needs more direction or training.**

**Interpersonal Relationships**

Must adapt to different personalities of Guests and coworkers without losing focus.

**Teamwork**

Working together as a team is a critical success factor of any restaurant. Establishing good working relationships is key to maintaining a team-oriented work environment.

**Performing General Physical Activities**

Must perform physical activities in a variety of environmental conditions that require moderate strength including cleaning, climbing, lifting, walking, balancing and handling of materials. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

**Problem Solving and Conflict Management**

Must recognize a problem when it arises and be able to resolve it appropriately by using good judgement, tact and initiative according to company policy and procedure.

**Analytical Skills**

**Must use logic and reasoning to identify solutions and alternatives for a successful outcome to problems.**

**Quality Control and Priority Assessment**

Must e**valuate current practices and processes;** immediately recognize potential areas of conflict; and initiate ways to improve current business methods, **quality of products and services provided to the Guests**.

**Flexibility**

Occasionally works overtime and assists with the workload of others if needed. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
