The Opportunity: Senior Transportation Project Engineer

Requirements:
- Education: A B.S. Degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering.
- Software Mastery: Advanced AutoCAD and Civil3D skills, including 3D surfaces.
- Experience: 5+ years of transportation design (Civil3D) experience, with a focus on roadways and intersections preferred.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with MassDOT standards and submission processes.
- Registrations: Preference for individuals with a Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
- Work Ethic: Motivated, driven for both personal and firm growth, and capable of multitasking on various projects.
- Interpersonal Skills: A collaborative team player with a passion for mentoring junior staff, providing training, and communicating effectively with clients, colleagues, sub-consultants, and contractors. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are a must.
Your Mission:
As a Senior Project Engineer in Transportation, you will lead the charge in designing transportation and complete street projects, shaping the future of our communities. Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the preparation of transportation/roadway design projects, including multi-modal accommodations (Complete Streets) and corridor/intersection improvements.
- Mentoring junior staff and providing expert training in complex Civil3D tasks.
- Assisting Project Managers in maintaining project budgets, schedules, and project advancement.
- Leading the preparation of construction bid documents, including specifications and construction estimates.
- Contributing to the preparation of project scopes and budgets for new work and diligently tracking budgets for existing projects.
- Maintaining open lines of communication with clients, including municipalities, MassDOT, and regional agencies.
- Creating and participating in presentations for project-related meetings or addressing technical concerns.
