Coffee Service Technician Manager

This is an exciting opportunity for a rapidly growing venture backed start-up with an ambitious growth plan that will be driven by organic growth and acquisitions. We are looking for a Coffee Service Technician Manager, who is ready to bring their experience, leadership and values to the Espresso Repair and Preventative Maintenance team. They will be responsible for performing field service calls, installations and preventive maintenance on commercial beverage equipment in addition to managing all administrative tasks associated with this role and managing future technicians.

  • This is mostly a traveling position, the majority of the accounts are in San Diego proper.


What You ll Do:

  • Oversee troubleshooting of equipment malfunctions using standard electrical test equipment
  • Manage all administrative responsibilities involved with this role including: invoicing, scheduling, etc.
  • Manage service inventory to ensure efficient response to customer service calls
  • Coordinate service appointments in collaboration with the sales manager
  • Ensure accurate reporting of daily activities for invoicing and tracking
  • Occasionally travel outside the regular work area for special service projects
  • Provide expertise on Bunn brewers and grinders, Curtis brewers, La Marzocco espresso machines, and Mazzer grinders

Experience You Bring:

  • Minimum of three years in the specialty coffee industry
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Vocational training in electrical/mechanical areas or equivalent experience preferred
  • Proficiency in reading schematic diagrams and using test equipment for troubleshooting
  • Previous experience installing plumbing and related hardware for beverage equipment
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Basic electrical and plumbing skills
  • Willingness to travel
  • Valid driver s license
  • Certifications that are helpful to have, but not required: Espresso Equipment Certification, CFESA Certification, Bunn Certification
