Job Summary:

The Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor will coordinate, supervise and participate in the repair and servicing of snow groomers, cars, trucks, shuttle busses, construction equipment, four-wheelers, snowmobiles, and side by sides.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Maintain a mixed fleet of snow groomers, cars, trucks, atvs, utvs, sleds and other equipment
  • Perform repairs, preventative maintenance, and safety inspections
  • In coordination of VM Manager- plan, coordinate and oversee vehicle maintenance repair operations, including schedules, policies, and procedures
  • Assist in planning and coordinating vehicle acquisition and replacement
  • Oversee daily tasks and prioritize assignments within the department
  • Ensure proper safety procedures are followed
  • Accept responsibility of manager when requested or necessary
  • Assist in planning and adhering to operating and capital budgets
  • Maintain effective communication to ensure productive inter-departmental relations within the mountain operations group and across the resort
  • Assist with parts ordering and maintaining inventory
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of all tools and equipment
  • Assist in administering maintenance record keeping systems, observes and assists technicians in the completion of their record keeping
  • Ensure that tools, equipment, and work areas are kept clean and in good operating condition.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating staff trainings and meetings
  • Confer regularly with staff to plan and coordinate activities, check work, and resolve problems
  • This positions' focus is approximately 75% mechanic and 25% management responsibilities
  • Provide superior service to our customers (internal and external) at all times. Follow the Resort Etiquette Guidelines while interacting with the guests and respond to all guests in a courteous, efficient manner
  • Perform all other tasks as assigned


Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

2+ years of relevant technical and supervisory experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Broad base of technical knowledge and skills related to vehicle maintenance, including parts procurement
  • Experience with construction and snow grooming equipment desirable
  • Experience in vehicle procurement desirable
  • Experience in electronic troubleshooting
  • Good planning, administrative and supervisory skills
  • Good math/budget skills; business training desirable
  • Ability to deal effectively with a variety of company personnel and outside firms
  • Valid driver's license
